This villa is situated in a part of Sicily where nature shows itself in all its magnificence. Sun, Sea, Earth and Sky seem to blend their colors and probably always have here. This is an Historical Place that’s garnered the ultimate in Mediterranean Beauty over many thousands of years. The completely restored villa “La Baronia,” is one of these old and beautiful places, over time, mother nature has left her mark. where time has left its mark indelibly. as it sits alone surrounded by a garden of Palm Trees.
La Baronia was once made up of stables and warehouses that stored wheat and citrus fruit. Through the preservation of its natural building materials, the home has regained its original features and grandeur. The interior has been restored to its former charm as well. The colors and furniture that decorate each room create quite a modern, Mediterranean flair. Upon request, an historical library can be provided with Italian and foreign language books available to guests.
During the cold season a warm fireplace in the lounge makes the room a central, cozy and comfortable place to be. The dining room is large and its doors open out to a garden terrace where dinner is served by candle light in the summer.
One of the features on the property was a small railway station built around 1900. It has since been restored and converted into an independent residence that has a spacious living area with a fireplace with its kitchen opening out to a lovely dining terrace. There are also two en-suite double bedrooms and the home has been fitted with modern comforts including air-conditioning and TV.
Another home was an old “Palmetto” built of gypsum and stone. It was remodeled using the same stone and techniques that were used in the past. Today, although it retains its old world flavor, it is now outfitted with modern luxuries and a harmonic blend of old and new is the ultimate result.
The main home is surrounded by olive trees that are reflected in the water of the Private Swimming Pool. The pool’s terrace has a panoramic view from every side. On the ground floor you’ll find two en-suite bedrooms, the living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The first floor has a lovely twin bedroom.
Accommodations:
Inside the main house is a large living room with a fireplace, a Den with a TV and a professional kitchen managed by the staff. There is a double room with a queen sized bed and bath and independent air conditioning. Another double room has heating and air conditioning plus a private bath with a shower.
There is a suite with independent heat and air conditioning that has 2 single sofa beds that can sleep two.
Another double room with a shower room sleeps two.
1 Queen Sized sofa bed in the living room can sleep up to 4 guests.
Another double suite with a private bath has a shower room next to the living room.
A Master Bedroom and bath has a beautiful terrace with views. Another double room has a shower room and a large terrace that also has an outdoor shower.
The main house alone can sleep up to 25!
With all rooms having independent heat and air conditioning, the guest house (suite) has a double room and a single plus two sofa beds in the lounge area with a bath and shower room. There is a second double bedroom that has a bath with a shower that can sleep up to four guests.
