Arles is built around a Roman Amphitheatre that once sat 20,000 spectators. Within easy reach are the wetlands of the Camargue, known for their pink flamingos, black fighting bulls and white horses, or the beautiful walled city of Avignon; a UNESCO World Heritage Site with perhaps, the largest Gothic Palace in the World. Les Alpilles is a beautiful region and can be enjoyed on foot, by bicycle or horse back.
