The holiday industry in the UK as a whole has come under severe pressures with the reccession and currency exchange rates at the heart of the causes.
Often as a buisness, we are faced with a situation whereby our niche properties are sold out and we have clients desperate for some assistance to find the right property for them. We invariably contact like minded agencies in the UK and Europe and discuss our clients' needs. If they have a property available we work together and serve the needs of the customer and share the financial benefit. We never add commissions to the price and make it over priced - that is a short term approach by a handful of agencies that give our industry a very bad name.
We enjoy working with agencies in a strategic alliance where we know that whilst they are looking after "our" client they will not attempt to "steal" the client for future bookings. It's rare to find honest colleagues in the trade that adopt this transparent approach but those that do are wonderful people to work with and everyone is in a win win win situation including most importantly the client who gets the villa/cottage they want :-)
