This elegant home is a mixture of simple oak frame in a minimalistic design and it has amazing views. The interior is designed with Italian Fabrics and Sofas the colors of which fully compliment the owner’s collection of contemporary art.
The house was first designed and constructed in 1991 by Architect Roderick James and Carpenter Oak Buildings – both of Grand Designs fame. It has subsequently been extended in the same style by the current owner who added an indoor swimming pool. Outdoors, however, the same minimalism gives a “Barn House” feel to the whole property.
The emphasis was to create a calm and tranquil space in which to relax and enjoy the spectacular views. Built from stone, oak, fir and lots of glass the house fits nicely into these natural surroundings. It’s decorated throughout with a kind of elegant simplicity that matches its exterior which, again, was created by using local materials. The Modern Italian Furniture is a simple design and harmonizes well with everything else.
Walking the grounds, lounging in the sun or swimming may be all you need on your holiday, but the House Manager can arrange all sorts of relaxing and indulgent activities including:

The Main “Barn” has a sitting area, a dining area, a small bar and a Library. These areas are fully equipped with Sky TV, Stereo, CD, DVD and Wi Fi Broadband.
There’s an Indoor Swimming Pool with Sliding Glass Walls that can open to the outside. There’s also a Lounge Area and a Spa Room with a Treatment Table.

The Bedroom Accommodations are arranged over two floors – each one forming a complete suite.
The “Zen Suite” is on the Ground Floor and has a large Master Bedroom with Private Bath and Lounging Area. A second Double Room has a Twin Bed and a Shower Room.
The “Aqua Suite” has a large Master Bedroom with direct access to the Swimming Pool and a Second Floor en suite Bathroom and Dressing Area. The rest of the suite contains a children’s twin bunk room with access to the “secret” attic playroom that houses a single and a shower room.
