This gorgeous home is situated in Bigbury on Sea on the South Devon Coast in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty. Bigbury on Sea offers the ideal family holiday. It has wonderful safe sandy beaches in view of the historic Burgh Island which is set 200 metres off the coast. Over the years the island has attracted many people trying to get away from it all including Noel Coward, Wallis Simpson and Edward Windsor and Agatha Christie who wrote two novels set on the Island (“Evil Under the Sun” and “And Then There Were None”). To get to the island you can walk across the sandy causeway at low tide or take the unique and quite eccentric sea tractor when the tide is in.
Bigbury on Sea and its neighbouring beach Bantham, have one of the UKs premier South coast surf breaks and are home to the Discovery Surf School; for those wishing to try out one of the UK’s fastest growing activities. The house is also conveniently placed for the South West Coastal Footpath and any number of “secret” beaches that can be walked to at low tide. There is also a 18-hole golf course in Bigbury on Sea
